Legal Question in Family Law in California

Is it legal to view and/or use these files?

I found my husband's jump drive on the kitchen counter. We are going through divorce but the thumbdrive is not labelled. I learned it was his after viewing the data on the drive on my computer. Am I allowed to use these emails and pictures left on the drive to prove he is hiding assets (or anything else) or must I destroy this evidence?

You want to talk to your divorce attorney about this.

You call him your husband but yet say you're going through a divorce.... I agree, go see a lawyer.

You definitely should see an attorney. However, it sounds like you still live under the same roof. If that is true, I would say that you possibly could use the information on that drive.
