Legal Question in Family Law in California

I would like to legally change my name. There is a $440 fee. I, myself, do not have a job. My household income, on the other hand, is higher than the fee waiver. But, my mother is a single mother supporting two other people. I would be the one to pay for the name change - despite my lack of money. Is there any way i could utilize the fee waiver?

I am so tired of low-income people reaping all the benefits!

You can submit a fee waiver, but it will probably be denied based on your household income. You can at least fill out the paperwork and see if the court will grant it.
