Legal Question in Family Law in California

liability for a vehicle I own, but I do not want

I own an ATV that resides with my ex. I do not want to be liable for injuries that might occur to riders. I'm also not fond of the idea of just giving him the ATV, as that would involve interacting with him. Do I have any options?

You can get a third party to talk to him and handle the transfer. Or if you are sure he wants the atv you could sign the pink slip and send it to him via federal express or other such method. Then file a statement of transfer with the dmv. The best method is for you or another person to negotiate the transfer with him, and then file the notice of transfer with the dmv.
