Legal Question in Family Law in California

I have been in litigation trying to get a divorce for 10 yrs. My husband will not sign any papers. He does not want me to get a dime...He has an ex- girlfriend who now has power of attorney over him. She convinced him to relinquish the home WE had paid on for over 22 yrs. so that I would not get any money from it. Now she has taken my husbands father's house by giving it to herself as a gift. I had asked in the beginning that a stipulation be put into paperwork that the inherited house go to my children should my husband ever die. Is that now null and void ?

My lawyer told me it is not worth fighting for the house since I was not on the title. She advises I let it go since it is not worth over $100,000.00.

My husband is an alcoholic who pathetically worships his ex girlfriend, she has done nothing but take everything from him, she had him put his vehicles in her name, and had him put her on the title to his fathers house whereby he falsified documents claiming he was an unmarried man to do so. He is now in jail ( his ex girlfriend put him there claiming he beat her for the 4th time) and his ex girlfriend is now living in his fathers house with her new boyfriend collecting all of my husbands firemans retirement !!! Is there anything my son can do to reverse the power of attorney from this woman? What can be done to stop her from taking everything???

Sincerely,

Laura Hill

Your husband doesn't need to sign any papers to finalize a divorce. You need a new lawyer.
