Legal Question in Family Law in California

I was married in California but shortly after moved to Texas with my husband and children. What state should I file divorce in? Can my husband force me to stay in Texas with our children?

The place where you file your divorce case is the location where there is jurisdiction. It doesn't matter what state you were married in. Since it sounds like you have not lived in California for at least the last six months, you are not eligible to file in this state. Your questions are best answered by a family law attorney in Texas.
