Legal Question in Family Law in California

Hi! I married in 2004 and divorced in 2013. I was separated since Dec. of 2011. My X husband and I started dating again since March of 2014. We are planning on remarrying very soon. Is it possible to continue adding the new years of the new marriage to the 7 years and 11 months from my first marriage? Is that even possible? He'd like for me to sign something stating I won't want to add on to the years of marriage from the first time because he doesn't want to pay me alimony for the rest of my life if things don't work out for the second time. :o(.

Best would be to define your relations with a marital agreement. Pre-nuptial agreements as well as post nuptial agreements have very specific requirements in California and require knowledgeable and experienced legal counsel. I can provide such assistance at a reasonable rate. Contact me for further consultation.
