Legal Question in Family Law in California

Never married, leaving boyfriend, and moving out of state with our children.

My boyfriend and I never got married and we have 2 kids together. He is not on the birth certificates of either child. I am wanting to move back home ( out of state) because our relationship is not working. Can he stop me from taking the kids with me out of state or do I need to get a court order or something that says I can move out of state wit them? Thank you for your time.

Yes, it is possible for him to obtain an order preventing you from taking the child from the State or, if you have left, an order for you to return the child to California. You should talk to a family law attorney and obtain appropriate orders. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
