Legal Question in Family Law in California

I got married in Nebraska when I was in the military. I'm back in los angeles now and out of the military. will a divorce be complicated to get since I was married in another state? CA is my state of legal residency...if that makes sense?

It doesn't matter what state or country you were married in. If you are a resident of CA (for at least six month) before filing the divorce, CA has jurisdiction (authority) to divorce you. What CA may or may not have is jurisdiction to deal with other issues, like property division or support. For those, CA has to also have jurisdiction over your spouse.

Bottom line, no it's no complicated (not for me anyway), I could do it in my sleep -- and I wish I were sleeping right now.
