Legal Question in Family Law in California

molestation

have a friend whose son is being accused of doing something inappropriate 2 years ago by a 9 year old they have know this child for several years and has family issues of his own. The grandfather said child told him 2 weeks ago took him to the doctor and was told that in order to physically find out if it is true that my friend's son would have to have charges filed then they could do the test needed to find out if he was molested. What should the accused person do and does the grandfather have a legitimate case

The accused person would be advised to retain an attorney to advise and help with this case before he is contacted by the police. He should also not talk to the police without an attorney.
