Legal Question in Family Law in California

I believe that my mother forged my birth fathers signature on the relinquishment papers during my adoption so that her new husband could adopt me. How do I go about getting access to the adoption paperwork? The adoption took place in California but I now live in Colorado.

You need to contact the county in which the adoption took place and ask them about how you get access to your records.

It may depend on when the adoption was. You will have to contact the court that handled the adoption. Some of the laws are set forth at this link: http://laws.adoption.com/statutes/california-laws.html
