Can I (the mother) be legally forced to do a paternity test?

I had an affair with a married man and got pregnant. Now him and his wife are threatening to take me to court to have a paternity test done with my son and the man who claims to be his father. They want to get visitation rights of my son. Can they legally force me to do the paternity test???
