Legal Question in Family Law in California

Order to show cause and affidavit for contempt; recieved from ex wife.

Divorced; Fall 2008

no kids-no real property

Like many families and people, the economy hit me hard; laid off from work after 10 years, got a paying job $9/hr, compare to 45k. (She had an affair) how can I respond to the judge or do to avoid jail and fines. I got stuck with a judgement community debt. I personally cannot pay my half. why cant she deal with her half she is vary well off. And I handle my debt. I'm burly making it on my own, and times when I cannot buy a $1 burger atleast. with an income of $1000 a month. I'm worried and don't know what to do? please help. =o(

I would insist that the court provide an attorney if you can not afford one because contempt is quasi criminal and you can go to jail.

Good luck,
