Legal Question in Family Law in California

My paralegal has taken almost 2 years to finalize my divorce..I have a no contested no kids divorce and I didn't ask for alimony & we have no property. Started case in 2011..I had missed a date on one of my final papers which I mailed it back in December..Called January for update told me they haven't taken it..Told me to call first week of march if I don't have my finale papers. than in march found out still haven't taken them than in April same thing..He yelled at me last week for calling so much I paid for the service what can I do..

Complain to the paralegal's supervising attorney. If they don't have one, report them to the State Bar for practicing law without a license.

I agree with Mr. McCormick. A "paralegal" is someone who is employed by or contracted to an attorney. There is no such thing as an independent paralegal. A Legal Document Assistant is only authorized to help you fill out the forms. They cannot provide legal advice, direction or even suggest the use of certain forms in your case.
