Legal Question in Family Law in California

I was to pay child support until my child is 23 but he now lives with me and my exwife is paying me support. Since I did not ask or specify in court that I wanted it to continue until he was 23 as our divorce agreement stipulated (when she had custody), does this mean that it will end at 18?

It sounds like it will end when he is 18. but I would have to read the exact order and any settlement agreement to be sure.

Right now if you have not already gone into court and changed the order, you are racking up child support arearages with 10% interest per year and need to go to court immediately to get a new order that conforms to the present arrangement. At that time you can ask that it continue to 23.. If you have had the order modified in court then you have to look at the current order. If there is a new order and it is silent on going past 18 it ends at 18.
