Legal Question in Family Law in California

If the proof of service has an address that does not exist is that a proper service? Or does the respondent need to have the papers reserved?

Is it a simple typographical error, or is it a completely made up address? A fake address is not an address at all. Those papers need to be properly served at the correct address for the party to be served.
