Legal Question in Family Law in California

I was recently awarded full custody of my daughter because the mother was deemed an alcoholic and is in a rehab center. Prior to that I saw my daughter every other weekend and one night a week and was paying child support to the mother in approximately $800 a month. Since I was granted hundred percent custody what happens to the child support? The mother is not giving me any money towards the care of this child right now and my expenses have tripled because of it

You need to file a motion to modify support. Based on your zip code you are in LA county. If the support order was issued in LA county, you can find direct information on how to modify the order here: https://cssd.lacounty.gov/modify-my-order/ If the order was in another county, you should contact the Department of Child Support Services in that county. They will either be able to process a modification for you, or provide you with guidance on how to obtain a modification in that county.
