can a restraining order be served to an inmate and how?

Re: restraining order

The person serving the temporary restraining order would take it to the jail or prison at which the person is being held. The officers in charge of the facility normally arrange for the court documents to be served on the inmate. If the person is being held pending trial contact the jail and request notice when he is released.
