Legal Question in Family Law in California

What rights would I have if my husband, who hasn't worked in almost 3 years, put some of my personal belongings out on the street and changed the locks one day? This is in attempt to keep everything, including my dog, and planned for awhile, long enough to find a girlfriend first.

You have the right to file for divorce and ask for half of everything. You also can ask for an emergency order that you get to move back into the house and he has to move out, though that could go either way. Alternatively you can find a place to stay and then go back and get your things. You can request a "civil standby" from your local law enforcement while you do that.
