What is the difference between a settlement agreement and a stipulated judgment as it relates to a divorce case in California.

A settlement agreement contains the terms of the deal, which to be finalized must be turned into a judgment. A settlement agreement is a contract enforceable on its terms by court order from the time it is executed by the parties. The judgment is enforceable after entry by the court.
