Legal Question in Family Law in California

In the state of California, a couple married for 21 years , but most properties in one name, say two cars but both cars in ones name, would the person whose name is on the pink have a right to call it in as stolen if the other left with the car.

If the cars were acquired during the marriage with earnings, they are construed as community property. If you tell the police the car was stolen when in fact your spouse took the car, you could be charged with filing a false police report.
