Legal Question in Family Law in California

Stopping dissolution of marriage

I recently filed for divorce, received my judgement which will be final as of February 26, 2001. My husband and I have decided to reconcile with counseling. How do I get the judgement stopped and what form do I need to fill out and file?

You can dismiss your petition (make sure he dismisses his cross complaint/response as well)with a dismissal form you can pick up at the court. As long as you dismiss the case before the final date you should be okay. You may also be able to postpone the divorce if you want to see how counseling works first.

good luck!
