I am unemployed and my husband has cut me off financially. Not even money for food or medicine. Can he do that?

You can seek the protection of the family law court and file a motion for spousal support. Please meet with an experienced family law attorney to explore your legal options.

You need to contact to attorney in order to determine what options are available to you. Spouses have a duty to support each other while living together and you have not stated if you and your husband are still living together or apart. If you have separated then an order for spousal support may be necessary. However, in order to determine what your next step should be and the best way to approach it you really need to contact an attorney.

Good luck
