Legal Question in Family Law in California

unilateral modification of arrears payment by DA

1991 judge ordered $25.00 a month on arrearages assigned to Family Support approved and signed by the DAs Office.

Order contained:

If Respondent defaults by more than 30 days in making a $25.00 installment on the arrearages as required by this paragraph, the District Attorney shall have the option to declare all of the arrearages, plus interest, immediately due and payable.

I have always paid.

On July 27, 2004, today, I received a letter from a Family Support Officer informing me that the $25.00 payment is insufficient and I must pay $363.00 a month.
