Legal Question in Family Law in California

Visitation

I am the Aunt of children removed from their home cause of abuse,I however had no previous knowlegde of this and am being denied the right to visit them.My father,Their Grandfather is also being denied visitation. We reside in Los Angeles and they are in San Diego, we've driven 2 and a half hours only to be told we're not on the list, then we were told it could'nt be done on days we were told it was okay to do so. my sister whom lives in Sanfernando Valley has also been a victim of these games. We are feeling as though we are being punished for a crime we had no part in or knowlegde of. Do we have a legal course of action to take? How do we go about getting the right to visit our Family?

Re: Visitation

Do not be quick to assume there was abuse in the home. California's family court system has gone completely off the tracks and lots of innocent people have had their children taken away. Lots of extended familymembers are being victimized as you are. The only thing I would recommend is that you write to your state senator and assemblyperson.

I Presume that placement was through Juvenile Court? If so I will petition the court for family contact. Call me directly at (619) 222-3504.
