Legal Question in Family Law in California

My wife left me on april 28th, 2010. She took all most everything and our one year old son and moved to Utah with her aunt. I've filed for joint custody and a legal seperation. Since I did that she won't allow for any communication at all. She got a lawyer, and I was told that I would probably have to pay for her lawyer. Is that true? How is that fair?

The majority of attorney fee awards in family law settings are awarded pursuant to Family Code section 2030. That section provides that the court may order one party to pay the other party's attorney's fees, based on needs of the asking spouse and ability to pay of the other spouse.

I strongly advise you to consult with an attorney. Your wife's attorney does not have your best interest in mind.
