Legal Question in Family Law in California

My ex wife was pregnant with someone else's baby when we got married. I have been the child's father full time for 14 years. The mother and I divorced a while back, and my daughter stayed with me and her brothers. The biological father had a very limited relationship with her and he has recently passed away. I was wondering if it was possible for me to adopt her even though the mother and I are no longer married.

There are to many variables in this situation to give you an answer. Is it possible? Sure. Almost anything that is mutually agreeable by the parties is possible. That being said you should really talk to an attorney in your area. Adoption is a very particular area of family law that very few practitioners ever handle. Be diligent and find an attorney to help you with this matter.
