my wife just or is going to recieve a rather large sum of money and a home ,am i intitle to any in the state of california

That would depend on how/why she receives it. If it is a gift or inheritance, then it is her sole and separate property unless and until such time as she co-mingles community assets with it. As long as she keeps it separate, it will always be hers alone. If it is compensation, a raffle win, or other "income" then it is community property.
