If I am willingly giving up legal and physical custody and no visitation then am I legally responsible to pay child support?

No, if you are the biological parent or assumed to be, you can't just walk away, you have to pay child support. If someone adopts this child, then you can be off the hook financially.

The law, in essence is that even though you give up your rights, you do not give up your responsibilities. The only way to lose that responsibility is if someone else adopts your child, as in a step parent adoption, for example. Good luck!
