Legal Question in Family Law in California

My two young children have been taken into custody by Siskiyou County CPS. They are presently in foster care. Today was the detention hearing where the validity of the removal was brought into question and placement with family was presented but denied by the judge. I have no doubt that the children will eventually be released, however because of the false statements made in the report and a history of unprofessional conduct towards my family, ie failure to provide services, claims against us of non-compliance, sexual harassment previously reported to the department of justice their father and I fear the further mishandling of our children by this particular agency and would like to obtain legal counsel to investigate and file suit if necessary. Our next jurisdictional hearing is October 31 2011.

Thank you

You should be aware that CPS and its workers have statutory immunity for their wrongdoings.
