child custody

i have a court date coming soon , im suing for full custody. The mother is absent and cannot be found. Children family services was involved, and can verify her absence. My problem is i cant serve

her the court papers, any alternatives??

If the case is in dependency court (DCFS case) ask the judge to order the DCFS to serve her "by publication" (by placing a legal advertisement in small print in the back pages of some obscure newspaper). Or you can ask a family court judge to let you serve her by publication. But first, you'll have to prove to the judge she is impossible to locate (by checking voter registration and other records). And service by publication is a huge hassle. Try contacting a professional process serving firm and ask them if they can help you.
