Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Agency law

How much would you charge me for a recent agency decission were a tenant fell down the stairs and broke her feet. The stairway had no handrail. I was the agent for the owner of the home. She sued the owner and me jointly and severaly claiming I was negelegent because she said she told me she wanted a handrail installed and I failed to do so. This is a lye. She fell down the stairs carrying a large child. She admits she knew the principle and I was the agent (disclosed principle). She can not produce evidence of her claim that she told me she wanted a handrail installed.

The principl's insurance company settled with her for $30,000 and she elected to leave me still on the hook to get more out of me.

I have an attorney. I am looking for a case similuar were a tenant/third party slips and falls in a rented house and the agent and principle are sued. Were the agent is granted summary judgment based on common law agency.

Also any cases were the principle is required to indemnify the agent.
