Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

thanks for answering ?? on homestead declaration. If you would be so kind and answer a couple more. can we change the deed on the house to my sons name so it cant be taken in a lawsuit? is my wife's IRA safe from that lawsuit? and can they attach her wages from her job in said lawsuit?

Transfer to avoid judgments are considered fraudulent. Anything that a person has an interest can be levied or can be attached upon unless it is exempt. If you have a community interest in the IRA then they can't levy it but they can attach your community share when it matures and pays out.
