Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

I am in CA and had a foreclosure of my home last year. The HOA sent my Hoa dues amount due from the home to a collection agency, who in turn have had an attorney file a Limited Jurisdiction Collection for 1650.00, court and attorney fees served to me. Should I respond with a General Denial, make some type of motion...How should I proceed to make this go away in an expedient way and not accumulate more debt from attorneys, filing fees or the plaintiff?

Yes. I recommend you contact the attorney and try to settle the matter. Possibly offering a lesser amount and/or working out a payment plan.

Good luck and thank you for your inquiry.
