Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Collecting payment for services rendered

I am a subcontractor and have a contract with a general contractor to perform, which was complete on 4/17 2008 with no complaints. Contract states payment will be within 30 days, I also have filed a lien with 10% interest stated. The balance is $ 10,192.20

What would be the best way to collect payment and would my legal fees and interest be recovered.

Thank You

You should file a mechanic's lien. Within 90 days of filing it, a foreclosure of the lien can be filed. We would need to review your paperwork to see if it is adequate. Why are you not being paid?
