my daughter was married to an employee that workes at costco. he had an life insurance policy on his wife that was being paid for by him . does he have the legal right to change the beneficiary from her children to his name or his parents name.

If they are no longer married, which your question implies, he can change his policies unless it is in the divorce order. The divorce should have dealt with community money expended on this policy.

I agree with Mr. Green, and would add that if they are still married, then it depends on the terms of the group insurance plan.
