Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

After filing an Answer to a Complaint in an Unlawful Detainer case, I discovered that I had put the wrong address for the Defendant (me). What should I do to correct this, both in the court and in the records of the Plaintiff?

Simplest is just to file and serve a "notice of change of address." It needs to be on pleading format, but does not require any formal wording. Just "to the court and all parties, notice is hereby given that" and give your correct address.

If you don't want to use the pleading paper, or don't have access to pleading paper, you can also use the following form:

The form is pretty self explanatory.
