Power of attorneys are not for pranks. Misuse can cause you serious problems. Personally this is the reason why most of the soldiers in my command are discouraged from doing powers of attorneys especially general ones especially when they are going to places like Korea.

A power of attorney creates a fiduciary duty on your part. That is a duty to put your brother's interests ahead of your own in all ways that have any impact on that relationship. ANY conduct that is against his interests using the power of attorney is a breach of the fiduciary duty, which is a VERY serious offense entitling him to sue you for triple damages and attorneys fees, not to mention it sets you up to be denied positions of trust by employers, denied bonds, security clearances, admission to the bar should you go to law school, etc., in the future.
