Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Hello,

I had recently lost a trial and had to pay the plaintiff a sum of 7K. Apart from sending a check what other forms or formalities should I complete and file with the court confirming my payment to the plantiff. This trial was at Orange County ,California.

Thank You,

Seema

Be sure you pay in full, including any court costs and accrued interest. Keep proof that you paid, and then serve a demand for satisfaction of judgment. Once the judgment creditor is paid in full, the judgment debtor has a right to a satisfaction of judgment, which is filed and can be recorded, clearing any liens that may have attached to your property.
