Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

My husband passed away over a year ago. He had filed a suit for non payment. After he passed the lawsuit was dropped. NowI have heard through the grapevine that they are suing me. I haven't been seved any paper work. What should I do?

You need to be served with papers before the Court can take any action against you.

Many courts now have online records where you can check to see the status of a particular lawsuit. It may be possible to find information about any claim against you by looking at the superior court website for your home county.
