Illegal release of vehicle

Basicly the impound lot that my vehicle was being held at was released to a random person that stole my car keys and now has my car the police say i can not report it stolen and must now go straight through the toe company but the tow company is hanging up on me and not responding to anything I really need some kind of help THANKS

You can and should report the vehicle stolen.

Furthermore, the tow yard is responsible for your car while it is within their possession, custody & control. If you cannot get your car back, or your car is damaged, you can pursue them legally. The value of your car will determine whether you pursue them in small claims court or you need to hire to lawyer.
