Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

I was involved in a vehicle accident on May 23rd. I was traveling at about 50 mph in a 2000 Toyota Tacoma and about a quarter mile behind a United States postal service vehicle, when I observed pull off the shoulder of the road. When I got any where From 200-800 feet behind it I notice they start to flip a u turn on this 2 lane country road we are on. I slammed my brakes they locked up and I t boned the vehicle on the front left fender which would be the passenger side on this particular vehicle. I have been having discomfort in my lower back and my wrist and arm are also hurting quite a bit. I did not report any injuries as when it happened I did not really feel any affects, nor have I seen a doctor because I have been busy a work. I am wondering what my options are?

Your injuries may be long lasting. If you want to ensure that you get proper compensation for your medical bills, wage loss and pain and suffering, then you must see a health care provider to document your injuries and symptoms, as well as to provide treatment, so that your symptoms improve as soon as possible.

You should contact an attorney immediately to ensure maximizing your compensation and obtain advice on how not to hurt your case from the outset.

Because a vehicle owned by a government entity was involved in the accident, you are going to need to comply with the federal tort claims act. There are strict time limits involved, and I suggest you get a competent personal injury attorney to assist you as soon as possible.
