There are "no stopping" zones, laws against loitering, and sometimes laws against overnight parking. There are also cops who like to throw their weight around. Some people -- too many people -- live in their cars. (If you plan on spending a lot of time sitting in your vehicle, this would be a good reason to own a van!) I think many laws against sitting or sleeping in your vehicle, as well as many parking restrictions, are unconstitutional, and I have always hoped that the right case would come along so that I could file an appropriate legal challenge. If you were cited or hassled for sitting in your car, or sleeping in your car, in Orange County, I would be delighted to hear from you by e-mail or telephone.

Loitering. If you are arrested and charged with it, you should consider hiring an attorney. Contact me if so.
