Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Is This Libelous?

Person A sends an email to the local police department that says ''Person B moved in next to me last month. He says his name is Anthony but others call him Tony. This is suspicious. Can you check this person out for me?'' Person A posts the email on the internet. Police check out person B and find he's ok. Person A continues to leave the email posted online. Is this libel? Does person B have a remedy or claim?

Re: Is This Libelous?

If all statements made by Person A are true, then there is no libel.

That is, if Person B did, in fact, move in next door and did, in fact, say his name is Anthony but others call him Tony, then no libel has occurred when these facts are reported to police or posted online.
