Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Neighbor Dispute and Harassment

Somebody dropped a very nasty letter (unsigned)under my doorstep claiming my family has been making noise that resonates thru the walls of our condos with music and kids' jumping sound. I think it's my next-door neighbor because couple of days before the letter she'd came over to complain the sound of music from our unit when my wife turned on stereo for the first time in the evening since we moved here more than 18 months ago. We always listen to music in the broad day light.

My other neighbors kindly informed me that she is a such lady who lies and writes obnoxious letter to her neighbors on trifle matter. I replied back to her with similar nasty words (no cursing). Her denial kept me writing 3 letters. And on her second denial letter she threatened me to take it to the court for harassment if I send her letter one more time. Does she have a case to claim it as a harassment?

Re: Neighbor Dispute and Harassment

Probably not. You should handle this through your homeowners association to get a neutral third party involved.
