Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Neighbor Harrasment

I moved into a new town home in December of last year with my wife and 8 and 6 year old daughters. My neighbor has called the cops 4 times and my land lord twice complaining of ''wild parties'' Every time the Sheriff responds, they leave within in 2 minutes acknowledging there is no party, or noise violation. This Lady has called my land lord and demanded I be inside my home with the back yard lights off by 9pm. I am tired of constantly having to worry about having friends over because of the cranky old lady that lives next door. Is there any legal recourse I have in order to stop her from harassing me? She called the police once saying there were teen aged girls fighting in my back yard. My two daughters were running through the sprinklers on a hot day

Re: Neighbor Harrasment

You could potentially file a civil action in Superior Court seeking monetary damages and an injunction based upon the theories of nuisance and prohibiting harrassment.
