Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Notion to motion for reconcideration

Hello,I am the plaintiff in a small claims case and i DID sue an ex mistress for failure to pay back loans she attempted to pay with bad checks ( i should this to the judge ) and she was also paying on a damage vehical she crashed. I sued her for $ 3000 which was much lower then what all of the loans and damages. Well at the hearing it was ''she said, He said '' but i had all the proof ( bounced checks and she confessed to the damages to the truck) her defense was that we purchased furiture to gether( she paid w/credit cards ) i never did such a thing there is NO proof of this just her word ! The jugde took the case under submision 3 week later the notice came in and i LOST!! i went to the law library and found that a plaintiff can appeal and i did! we went to court and i pleaded my case and reduces the amount fromm $3000 to $650 to repair the vehical damage. What's the odds that i may prevail?

Re: Notion to motion for reconcideration

Appeals courts are usually very hesitant to overturn a lower court. . . I believe only 1 in 10 appeals succeeds. . .

Good Luck.
