Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

What paper works to be filed when you are being sued by your lawyer?

I would like to know how to proceed when I am being sued by my lawyer. I have just received a summon from my lawyer naming me as the defendent for a suit.

You'll need to file an answer... if the lawyer did not attach a verification, you can file a general denial.

You normally should file an answer. If you have grounds, you can file a cross-complaint. If you fax me all of your documentation including the lawsuit to me and any letters to 714 363 0229, I will provide you with free consultation.

I intend to suppliment the previous two answers. An attorney is supposed to serve you a letter telling you he/she is going to sue. And offering you the alternative of doing an arbitration hearing sponsored by either the state or county bar association. So answer the law suit and go for it.
