It is either 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 2 years from the date of discovery, 3 years, 4 years, 5 years, in some rare cases between 6 and 9 years, 10 years, and in some other rare cases more than 10 years. I think you might need to be more specific regarding the type of case if you require a more specific response.

If you are claiming bodily injury because of the negligence of another person, it is 2 years from the date of the incident.

Mr. Shers is correct. The statute of limitations for a personal injury action in California is now two years (2) pursuant to Code of Civil Procedure section 335.1.
