would you suggest having a liability disclaimer signed for a playgroup?

Disclaimers are legally worth the paper they are written on. If you do something negligent you will be held liable; if it was not negligent, there is no basis to sue you. Disclaimers do have the psychological effect of making people think the may have given up their right to sue. So you have to weigh the negative reaction from forcing parents to sign and the psychological effect it has.
