Re: What are potential privilege issues associated with e-mail use?

At one time there was some controversy over whether

e-mails between attorney and client were privileged.

Some argued that because the e-mail passed through

many other computers on its way from the sender to

the recipient, it could theoretically be viewed by

many other people and, therefore, could not be

considered confidential. However, I believe that a

California Court of Appeal decision put that argument

to rest, and has ruled that e-mails are as privileged

as any other form of communication.
